La Boheme

An Italian opera set in 1830, the story takes place in Paris and shows the "Bohemian" lifestyle of a poor seamstress and her friends. The idea communicated to me of the set was a sort of fancy and french glamor in the cafe then dirty and time-worn for everything else.

My responsibility for this opera consisted of working with the charge to learn paint treatments, mixing textures, mixing paints, keeping track of volume of textures/paints used on scenery I was leading the process of, leading the treatments of certain scenery, teaching the apprentices wherever necessary, writing out processes and techniques for touch-up, organizing materials, and understanding when different techniques need to be used to speed up the process.

Projects led: Wall treatments of the Tavern and Infirmary (co-led texture with another staff member), parts of groundcloth process, and Wall texture and treatment of Cafe.
